If you are looking for a different way to celebrate Halloween then look no further.  The rUNdead 5k race in Charleston, SC is a fun and exciting event that helps out a great cause.  This year the 5k race will be held on October 26th, 2013, from 3-10 PM, and supports the Lowcountry Food Bank.  If you are participating in the race or just helping out, a great place to stay for the weekend is The French Quarter Inn.  The Inn has all of the greatest accommodations making the weekend an enjoyable one.

This unique race is unlike any other in that their will be runners and zombies.  Each runner will be ready to start off the race and go through woods, clearings, barns, and old Charleston homes.  Throughout the race they must be prepared as there will zombies in the least likely place searching for them.  The race takes place in Charleston County Park, Old Towne Creek.  Each runner will have their own set of flags that they will need to try and keep until the end of the race and away from the zombies.  This is a fun, exciting, and different kind of race to get everyone in the Halloween Spirit.  At the same time it also helps out with a great local organization in making the community better.

The event helps out the Lowcountry Food Bank in feeding the communities in Charleston.  The organization is consistantly looking for ways to eliminate hunger and find solutions.  Help out by bringing along canned goods and non-perishable items to the race.  If you aren’t looking to do the 5k, there are plenty of opportunities to help out with the food bank.  If you want to be a part of the rUNdead 5k race in Charleston, SC, call French Quarter Inn today and get more information and book your room for the weekend.
