Hotel Policies
Guarantee Policy:
All reservations must be guaranteed by a valid credit card at check-in. Reservations will be held for 12 hours after scheduled arrival time.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Cancellations are accepted without penalty up to 3 days before 4 p.m. on the day of arrival. Cancellations within the 3-day cancellation policy will be charged the first night’s room and tax. No refunds. Please be aware attempting to modify a reservation within the 3-day cancellation period will be considered a cancellation. Please note, however, that there may be stricter cancellation rules related to: group rates, special promotions, or city events. Please refer to your reservation details or call the hotel with any cancellation-related questions.
Changes to reservations are considered cancellations and re-bookings.
Additional Charges:
- Children under 17: Free with an accompanied adult (complimentary crib or rollaway bed available based on availability)
- More than 2 adults: $40 per extra adult per night
- Late Checkout - $150 for up to 2 hours based on availability
- Valet Parking: $42 per night
- Smoking penalty of $500 will be assessed
- Damage to the room requiring specialty cleaning/repairs will incur a $500 fee
- All reservations are subject to a credit card authorization hold for room, tax, and incidental charges

What is your Cancellation Policy?

What time is check in and what time is check out?
Can we request an early check in or late check out?
Check-in time is at 4 pm, and check out time is 12 noon. If a late checkout is requested, there may be an additional fee, and this is based on availability.
Early check-in will be extended with no extra fee when available. Please feel free to reach out to the concierge team with your estimated time of arrival and departure so we may best be able to serve you.
How do I store my baggage prior to checking in or after checking out?
For your convenience, if your room is not ready upon arrival we will store your bags safely. If you need to store luggage after checking out, we would be happy to hold it for the entire day/evening of your departure date.
Can I bring my pet?
French Quarter Inn does not allow pets.
Do you provide shuttle service to and from the Airport to the hotel?
French Quarter Inn does not offer a complimentary shuttle service from the airport. We do offer a private car service that can be arranged for pick up, drop off, or basic taxi needs while you are in Charleston. Prices vary, please call for an exact quote.
What is your smoking policy?
Our hotel is a smoke-free establishment. Smoking in a designated non-smoking area is subject to a fine.
Is parking available at your hotel?
Valet parking is available at our hotel with in-n-out service as needed. The cost of valet service is $42 per night for regular vehicles and $52 per night for Electric vehicles. As you first arrive to the hotel, please enter the valet parking porte cochere on our Linguard Street entrance for prompt service. We, unfortunately, cannot park oversized vehicles, including RVs or larger than normal SUVs or trucks. Please contact the concierge in advance if you are planning on bringing more than 1 vehicle per guest room, as our parking space is limited and we may not be able to accommodate an extra vehicle. An extra vehicle will incur an additional fee. French Quarter Inn does not offer self-parking for its guests but should you opt to park on your own there is a public parking garage on the corner of Cumberland Street and Church Street. This would be paid separately from the hotel. We do have limited availability for electric vehicle (EV) charging at the hotel. This is based on availability and an additional fee will be incurred.
Is Uber/Lyft available in Charleston?
Uber and Lyft are available in the Charleston Area, and can be obtained from the airport or the hotel. They can be more difficult to acquire during high demand times; additionally for flights early in the morning, a taxi service arranged in advance is usually recommended.
What room types are offered?
Our hotel offers a mixture of single and double bedded options in five different room types: traditional, deluxe, junior suites, standard suites and full suites. Given this, the hotel offers a level of variation in our room types to ideally suite your needs – balconettes, full balconies, pull out sofa sleepers, fireplaces, larger sitting rooms, and more. How close is French Quarter Inn to Charleston’s City Market?
French Quarter Inn is very close to City Market, only a few hundred feet away, which is approximately a 1 minute walk.
Does French Quarter Inn serve breakfast?
Yes, the hotel offers a complimentary breakfast with a variety of European style and hot American style items can be delivered to your guest room, or enjoy through our self-serve buffet in the lobby. Breakfast is available daily from 6:30 am to 10:30 am. Speciality smoothies, coffee drinks, and morning libations (Bloody Marys & Mimosas) are also available for purchase.
Do you have an on-site restaurant or bar?
The hotel does have an onsite bar — offering beer, wine, cocktails, and specialty coffee drinks for hotel guests. Additionally, there are dozens of restaurants within walking distance for your enjoyment.
Does French Quarter Inn have an on-site fitness studio?
Yes - the hotel has an on site fitness studio, equipped with two Peloton bikes, elliptical, treadmill, free weights, and other fitness equipment. This is available to guests from 5 am to 9 pm daily.
Does the hotel have a pool?
No, the hotel does not have a pool.
Does French Quarter Inn have electric vehicle charging stations?
Yes - for hotel guests, there are charging options available for Tesla and for universal car chargers.
Does the hotel have WiFi?
Yes - the entire hotel offers complimentary WiFi for hotel guests.
Can you arrange dining reservations, private tours and other Charleston experiences for me?
Yes - our concierge team at French Quarter Inn will work with you to help curate personalized experiences that suit your Charleston vacation needs.
Are you an adults-only hotel?
No, our hotel is kid-friendly! However, we do require all reservations to be booked by guests 21 years of age or older. A guardian is also required for all guests staying at French Quarter Inn under the age of 21.
